Propertyfinder.com has grown the number of properties listed on the site by 42% since July 2003 to 70,648 at the end of May 2004. It claims over the same period, main rival primelocation grew by only 4.2% to 75,000 properties.
New agents to sign up include Fine and Country, a marketing group run by the guild of professional agents, John D Wood & Co, Winkworth, Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward, Chancellors, Anscombe & Ringland and Russell Baldwin & Bright.
The growth over the past year is due to the unique service propertyfinder.com offers its member agents. The propertyfinder website will be relaunched shortly with a new image. Targeting the mid to higher end of the residential market with listings from the UK's most progressive agents, the new propertyfinder.com will offer its member agents direct access to homebuyers, an increased brand awareness through weekly advertisements in The Sunday Times and access to the 1.25m property seeking visitors that use propertyfinder every quarter.
Nicholas Leeming FRICS, sales director of propertyfinder, says: “We are delighted with the growth in listings over the past year. Our primary focus is on delivering value to agents, driving traffic to their websites, sending email referrals and helping them provide the best service to their customers. Through advertising in publications like Country Life we intend to build upon and strengthen our brand awareness lead.”
Leeming adds: “We've started having good discussions with larger agents too, and hope that we can report some news on this in the coming months.”
