Assurant Solutions signs deal with D&D Homecare

Assurant Solutions&#39 UK has entered a six-year agreement with D&D Homecare of York to underwrite D&D&#39s mortgage and income protection cover.

The agreement covers 56 insurance products, including 48 mortgage protection solutions and eight income protection solutions. All are designed to meet the needs of individual consumercircumstances.

Headquartered in Slough, Assurant Solutions UK is part of Assurant, a leading provider of specialty property and consumer protection products in North American and selected other markets, including the United Kingdom.

Daniel le Fleming, managing director at Assurant Solutions UK says: “This new agreement allows both companies to improve market share by developing both the cover offered and the distribution and marketing of the product itself. We look forward to growing the current book through the long-term partnership of Assurant Solutions&#39 integrated risk management expertise and customised technology capabilities with D&D Homecare&#39s unique distribution channel.”

Derek Green, managing director at D&D Homecare, adds: “The agreement with Assurant Solutions will allow D&D Homecare to provide a greater range of service-focussed and competitively priced products to mortgage intermediaries and IFAs around the country – meaning they have a wider portfolio to meet the individual needs of their customers. We&#39re convinced that this new partnership will generate increased sales and look forward to growing this particular area of our business.”
