Scheme could be a good thing that goes bad like SAMs

I was interested to read the story in last week’s issue about the property investment fund.

My view is that the result is likely to be similar to the shared appreciation mortgage, which at the time was considered to be a good thing.

But when property prices increased and home owners could not afford to move or buy out, the SAM element was considered not such a good idea.
