N&P appoints Spanish development manager

Norwich and Peterborough has appointed Alan Butterworth as its Spanish development manager in the UK.

Butterworth has worked for N&P since November 2004, first as a home finance manager and then a branch manager, before taking this newly created role. Prior to joining the society, he worked in Spain for Abbey plc.

The role will provide dedicated UK based support for N&Ps Spanish lending, working with both the societys branch network and with mortgage brokers who are looking to provide a client with an N&P Spanish mortgage.

Mike Sketch, head of retail operations at N&P, says: “Alan has a strong background in the overseas market and will be a valuable contact for any broker looking to help a client to buy in Spain.

Butterworth adds: Im delighted to have been appointed to this newly-created role and look forward to working with brokers to help their clients fulfil their dreams of buying a dream home abroad.
