PlusOne restructures sales and support teams

The company offers general insurance white labelling and third party administration services to life companies, IFA networks and mortgage clubs, affinity groups and friendly societies.

With immediate effect Rob Kleinberg will become client relations manager, having previously been customer service manager and Tony Mifsud will become sales and training manager, having previously been a regional agency and sales training manager for PlusOne&#39s sister company, Select & Protect where he has worked for ten years.

Simon Hood, chief executive of PlusOne, says: “These two promotions are a direct result of the business which we are in the process of signing up. Clearly launching a white labelled range of insurance products is a significant event and our new clients want a first class personal relationship with us.

“Rob and Tony have been with the company for some time and it is now appropriate that they should take on greater responsibility as PlusOne expands. Our clients will be in good hands.”

The findings also reveal that three-quarters (75%) of the intermediaries surveyed believe the cost of mortgage regulation will be passed onto the consumer. The research shows that two months short of […]

Where the client opts to pay a fee […]

Change will make industry stronger

And what an exciting time the run-up to regulation has been. Business sales, acquisitions, mergers, failures, resignations – you name it, Mortgage Strategy has covered it. But perhaps most importantly, our message on regulation has been constant and consistent. Regulation is here to stay and with it the beginning of a new era for the […]

HBOS could sell BM to prepare for Abbey bid

The Midlands press is already speculating over the future of BM. HBOS has a 22% share of the UK mortgage market while Abbey has 11%. But combined they would control one third of the market – something competition watchdogs would likely rule out as consumer choice would be stifled and HBOS would become an unstoppable […]

Under the radar – Fit for Work and sickness absence

Earlier this month we sat in on a presentation delivered by the Fit for Work service, and this session did highlight one small but important change to the offering that we must admit had slipped under our radar. The Sickness Absence Review published in 2010 suggested that the Independent Assessment Service (now branded Fit for Work) should have three access points; referral by […]
