Boxing promoter faces mortgage fraud charges

Boxing promoter Barry Hughes and his wife Jacqueline have appeared in court to face mortgage fraud charges. Newspaper reports say the pair appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last Tuesday to face allegations that they lied about Mrs Hughes’ income in several mortgage applications totalling almost £1.5m.
