Buildstore registers 1,000 introducers

Self-build and renovations specialist Buildstore has clocked up over 1,000 registered introducers nationwide since launching BuildLoan in January 2002.

BuildLoan says the intermediaries who have used its service have been able to offer a proper self-build product and service to their clients for the first time.

Buildstore&#39s BuildLoan package includes features such as loans of up to 95% of the cost of the land, and up to 95% of build costs, self-certification for self-employed and contract workers, allowing self-builders to stay in their old home during construction, and staged mortgage payments at each build stage.

Raymond Connor, managing director of Buildstore, says: “With almost 20,000 new self-build homes completed last year, it is not surprising that intermediaries are having to rethink self-build from a &#39niche market&#39 product to a &#39must have&#39 service for their clients. We are delighted by BuildLoan&#39s success to date and see significant growth potential through intermediaries in the coming year.”
