Barnetts hits 300 jobs target

Barnetts Solictors has reached a key milestone in the practice’s history and hit its 300 staff target.

Joe Whelan, chief executive of Barnetts, says: “This is a fantastic achievement for Barnetts. It was an objective we set five years ago and we have achieved this four months ahead of schedule.

“As a firm Barnetts has gone through massive change since it was established in 1987.

“The practice operated from a small office in the heart of Southport to occupying a 3m 20,000 sq ft office.

“It has always been our desire to remain located in Southport as it has provided the platform for growth and this is something we wish to build upon.

“We will continue to recruit exceptional people to help us develop the business; without them we would not be in the excellent position we are in today.”

The firms latest success comes on the back of two client wins. In June, Barnetts was appointed to the panel of law firms of one of Europes major providers of title insurance products, London & European.

This was followed by the firms recent appointment to HBOSs remortgaging panel, one of six firms in the UK to make the grade.
