Mortgage Brain to hold packager forum on March 23

Mortgage Brain and the Mortgage Trading Exchange, in association with Mortgage Strategy, are to hold a packager forum in London on March 23.

The event will discuss the key issues facing mortgage packagers in 2007. It will also be used to announce a new and exclusive packager proposition.

Earlier this year at the Mortgage Strategy Packagers Summit, sourcing software was given the thumbs down by packagers, who felt the likes of Mortgage Brain and Trigold were not working for the packager as they would like.

An impromptu vote found delegates to be out of favour with all the sourcing systems on the market. Mortgage Brain hopes the forum can change this attitude.

Mark Lofthouse, chief executive officer of Mortgage Brain and the MTE, says: Part of this forum is to show that we are there for the packager and our tool does work for them.

Its also to try and find out what packagers want from our system so as we can improve Mortgage Brain. This is all part of our customer relations process.

This event should help unite packagers. We think we are one of a number of organisations who can bring the market together.
