Misys in possible management sell-out

Misys has confirmed it has received a request from certain members of the senior management team to explore the possibility of making an offer for the business.

An independent committee of the board has been established to consider this request.

In an official statement the company says: No offer has been received and one may or may not be forthcoming. No price has been discussed.

A further announcement will be made in due course, as appropriate.

In April, acquisition talks between the software firm and unknown potential purchasers broke down after they were unable to establish a satisfactory price for Misys network Sesame.
