CHL unveils e-conveyancing service

Capital Home Loans has launched an e-conveyancing service that prom-ises to undercut traditional sources while maintaining service levels.

The service goes live on CHL’s website this week and provides brokers and their clients with a conveyancing service which the lender says is around 100 cheaper than high street providers on a typical 100,000 mortgage.

CHL has appointed a network of conveyancers to ensure brokers are able to gain access to conveyancers throughout the country.

The service offers guaranteed quotes, discounts for portfolios and email or text updates. Users can track cases online 24 hours a day, add preferred solicitors to the panel and benefit from a no sale, no fee guarantee.

Brokers get up to 200 per case plus a vehicle for them to provide Home Information Packs.

Bob Young, managing director of CHL, says: “We are providing an option whereby everyone benefits. Consumers get more choice of conveyancers and quotes that will be difficult to beat while brokers have access to an additional income stream and a service that will eliminate a lot of the uncertainty in the conveyancing process.”

Young adds that only 25% of the market is using e-conveyancing, with high street providers still having the bulk of business. But he adds that online providers are rising in popularity as people catch on to the fact that cheaper deals are often found on the internet.
