Purely appoints Waldron as head of business development

Purely Mortgages announces the appointment of Alastair Waldron as head of business development. He has been brought in to further develop third party and affinity marketing opportunities for the business.

Waldron, who has wide experience of running successful marketing businesses in the financial services sector, will be best known for his work in the lifetime mortgages sector, most recently helping Prudential launch into this area. He was also instrumental in the compilation and distribution of the Enlightenment guide to lifetime mortgage regulation.

Mark Chilton, Chief Executive of Purely Mortgages, says: At Purely weve developed an industry leading business platform. Having entered a new phase of growth and with new shareholders on board, were looking at ways to further this growth. Third party and affinity marketing is a crucial part of our plan. We believe that Alastair has the perfect experience to take on this role and drive this key area of our business.

Additionally, Waldron will work with the existing Purely marketing team to drive all mainstream marketing activity.
