Kensington offers marketing advice

Kensington has launched a marketing toolkit for brokers.

The simple guide is designed to help intermediaries promote themselves while adhering to rules down by the Financial Services Authority.

The toolkit is split into three sections. The first deals with compliance, outlining the most important rules and regulations in relation to advertising and marketing as set out in MCOB.

The second is on Treating Customers Fairly and explains the rationale behind the TCF philosophy.

The third section covers marketing and gives an overview of the promotional aspects of marketing that can help intermediaries sell more products and ultimately build their businesses.

Alison Hutchinson, managing director of Kensington, says: “In this competitive market, effective marketing is an important factor in the success of any business.

“This guide is intended to help intermediaries take a fresh look at their marketing activities particularly now that, under statutory regulation, procedures for compliance have been greatly tightened.”
