Direct channel role for David Finlay

David Finlay, intermediary managing director at Barclays, has assumed responsibility for the bank’s direct mortgage channel on an interim basis.

Finlay was given the role following the exit of Philip Northey, managing director of regulated customer advice, from the bank last month. For now Finlay will run the bank’s branch and telephony channels alongside his current role.

It is understood the bank has not yet decided whether to give Finlay the responsibility for both roles on a full-time basis or whether it will recruit a permanent replacement for Northey.
