My Mortgage Direct to launch Portuguese deal

Real estate agent Noscasa and mortgage broker My Mortgage Direct have teamed up to launch a deal for home buyers looking in buy property in Cape Verde

The former Portuguese colony – once a parched slave trading post – is now tempting property investors from all over the world with caiprinias and Creole cuisine.

Cath Hearnden, director at My Mortgage Direct, says: “As a desirable location for holiday home property investment, Cape Verde is challenging many of the established destinations.

“Prices are low and the potential for future growth is fantastic, but the mortgage market is in its infancy and buyers can be put off by the prospect of arranging their own mortgage – let alone address tax and legal matters.

“The relationship we have forged with real estate agent Noscasa will allow UK buyers to secure the property they want safe in the knowledge that their financial arrangements will be completely taken care of.”

Noscasa, run by British property expert Paul Akwei and his team of Cape Verdean advisers, has the largest database of property for sale on the islands.

Akwei Says: “This is a very exciting venture for us. Every country has laws and procedures relating to property that are unique and Cape Verde is no different.

“By teaming up with My Mortgage Direct to offer our combined services, buyers can see the whole process through without worrying that they’ve missed something vital.”
