Case highlights broker disclosure

The Finance Trading Standards Association is seeking legal advice following the landmark Hurstanger case. Hurstanger came under the spotlight when borrower Delroy Wilson went into arrears. Wilson claimed his original contract was void because a £240 payment from lender to broker was not disclosed. The Court of Appeal ruled that brokers must disclose commission.
