BSA seeks PR and policy manager

The Building Societies Association has created the role of PR and policy manager to strengthen the voice of societies in policy debates.

The role, which was advertised in TheGuardian on October 8, will involve researching, planning and executing communication strategies. The successful candidate will report to the external affairs manager. Although salary is dependent on experience, the BSA offers a group personal pension scheme, 24 days’ annual holiday, BUPA membership, life assurance and permanent health insurance.

A spokeswoman for the BSA says: ‘This is a big step forward. The PR and policy manager will be responsible for tracking external developments and presenting the industry’s views on housing and mortgage policy to the media and policy makers.”
