LFG appoints Merseyside law firm for commercial remortgages

Lifestyle Funding Group has appointed Merseyside law firm Lees Lloyd Whitley to handle its commercial remortgaging work across the country.

The firm&#39s residential property department already provides legal services to more than 350 customers nationwide who remortgage their homes every year through the group&#39s Earth finance division.

LFG has recently opened a new call centre in Rotherham to handle the growing volume of remortgaging business. Lees Lloyd Whitley expects to handle around 50 instructions in the first 12 months of the service, with more to follow.

A team, led by partner David Sewell, will deliver a similar service to businesses planning to remortgage factories, office buildings, retail and other commercial premises.

Sewell says: “The company has developed a dedicated computerised case management system for the group&#39s residential clients, which will now be extended to include its Lifestyle Commercial Funding remortgage arm.

“It means LFG can offer a turnaround time of only 20 working days from receipt of detailed instructions and accompanying documentation, which is an important benefit for business.”
