This is the first (perhaps of many) blogs from yours truly. I feel I should start by proving the Welsh do have a sense of humour, particularly when the Welsh rugby team are in their all-conquering mode. Just as a reminder, in case you have forgotten, England 19 – Wales 26, Wales 30 – Scotland 15; Wales 47 – Italy 8; Ireland 12 – Wales 16. The triple-crown for Wales, and we should also mention Cardiff City and their progress to the FA Cup semi-final.

Success on the rugby pitch inevitably reaches out to other parts of life, and I am proud to report on the following:

Now that Catherine Zeta-Jones-Douglas has become firmly established in Hollywood , and Charlotte Church is a well-known celebrity in the UK , the Welsh film industry is to receive additional funding to step up production. They are going to remake many well known films, but this time
with a Welsh flavour. The following are planned for release this year…

> 9 and a half Leeks
> Trefforest Gump
> Cwmando
> The Lost Boyos
> An American Werewolf in Powys
> Huw Dares Gwyneth ( my favourite)
> Dai Hard
> The Wizard of Oswestry
> Cool Hand Look-you
> Sheepless in Seattle
> The Eagle has Llandudno
> The Magnificent Severn
> Haverfordwest Was Won
> Austin Powys
> The Magic Rhonddabout
> Independence Dai
> The Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch That Time Forgot
> Seven Brides from Seven Sisters
> Welsh Connection
> Welsh Connection II
> The Bridge on the River Wye
> Lawrence of Llandybie
> A Beautiful Mind-you
> The Welsh Patient
> The King and Mair
> The Sheepshag Redemption
> Look You Back in Bangor
> Evans Can Wait
> A Fishguard Called Rhondda
> Where Eagles Aberdare
> Dial M For Merthyr
> Ewe got Mail
> Bach to the Future
> The Battle of Briton Ferry
> Cowbridge Too Far

Alas, I must admit that these outstanding examples of creativity were not my work, but one of the many highly intellectual emails that bounce around my rugby friends.
