Paymentshield insurance live on PTFS website

Paymentshield is now live on the Personal Touch Financial Services buildings and contents quote engine.

The proposition is an attempt to further enhance Paymentshield’s position on the Personal Touch panel.

Brokers will now be able to generate guaranteed quotations for Paymentshield’s buildings & contents insurance, in addition to being able to complete applications online, which will provide immediate confirmation of cover.

The engine currently has five providers and Paymentshield’s addition was widely requested by Personal Touch members. A combination of compliance wrap, competitive premium and commission makes this one of the most comprehensive engines on the market.

Brokers will immediately be able to compare with a panel of insurers and be in a position to offer an introductory 15% discount for first-time buyers, UK based call centres for customer service and claims, a free three-month cover option and guaranteed repairs if carried out by Royal & Sun Alliance approved contractors.

Chris Traynor, sales and marketing director at the Southport-based insurer, says: “Personal Touch is one of our biggest business partners and by joining its B&C quote engine panel we are demonstrating our continued commitment to an ever-improving service offering for our agents and their clients.

Dev Malle, sales director at Personal Touch, adds: “Since launch the B&C Quote Engine has undergone a number of developments which makes it market leading.

“The addition of Paymentshield onto the panel has been a key objective and adds real strength and value to the panel offering. Member feedback has been excellent with the addition of Paymentshield.”

Dear Delia…

Dear Delia, My clients are looking to buy a rundown bungalow built in the 1930s with no kitchen or bathroom facilities. It also has substandard wiring and requires complete renovation to be habitable. They have a good deposit and funds for the renovations and the asking price is reasonable too. I’ve contacted my usual lenders but they all say no. Can you help?

Survey looks at the challenges facing businesses post auto-enrolment
