Yorkshire launches conveyancing comparison site

The Yorkshire is launching a price comparison site for conveyancing services made up of a national network of over 170 solicitors.

Following the introduction an online conveyancing service for Yorkshire borrowers last year, the mutual decided to develop an additional site to be offered to the general public.

The site,, is provided with eConveyancer, who supply web-based conveyancing services for financial advisers and estate agents.

Customers will be able to choose their conveyancer based on price, service, and location. Once cases have been instructed online they can be tracked 24 hours a day on the internet, in addition to real-time email or text alerts. All the solicitors on the panel offer a no sale, no fee promise, excluding disbursements.

As part of a special launch offer anyone instructing a firm from the panel will be entered in a draw to win £500 of shopping vouchers.

David Jackson, head of e-commerce for the Yorkshire, says: “Price comparison websites are extremely popular with the public but their services do not extend to the house buying process.

“We have increased the numbers of solicitors on the panel and decided to develop the facility so that anyone looking for a solicitor could make use of it.”
