Pink Home Loans has confirmed that managing director Tony Jones will leave the company because of family reasons just two days after denying it was in search of a replacement (Mortgage Strategy, January 3 2006).
Jones, who has been with the company four and a half years, will leave with immediate effect.
Skipton, Pink Home Loans’ parent company, says Jones decided he would now look for employment “within daily travelling of his home”.
It adds: “These plans have been brought forward by a recurring bout of illness that he is currently experiencing.”
The popular and innovative MD will take a short break before looking to take on consultancy and other related work in the spring.
He says: “I have enjoyed working at Pink and am proud of what we have achieved over the last few years.
“The company is a leading player in the intermediary mortgage and insurance sectors, distributing gross annual lending of over £5bn, and we have established ourselves as one of the leading mortgage networks in the country.”
