Heritable Bank has become an associate member of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries.
The fast-growing specialist lender has increased its loan assets due to mortgage lending through intermediaries by over 40% in 2006 and has plans to expand its product offering further in 2007.
Rob Griffiths, associate director of the AMI, says: “We are pleased that Heritable Bank has decided to join AMI as associate members.
“In doing so they have recognised AMI’s value and the need for a strong mortgage intermediary trade body.
“AMI needs the support of all parts of the mortgage sector to effectively represent its members with policy makers at all levels.
“We are therefore delighted to welcome Heritable Bank as associate members of AMI.”
Mark Sismey-Durrant, chief executive of Heritable Bank, says: “2006 has been another record year for our residential lending business, and this is in no small way down to the strong mutual relationships we have nurtured with experienced mortgage brokers.
“Supporting the AMI’s wide-ranging work on behalf of broker firms is important to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the sector.
“2007 will be another major year for our lending business, as we continue to make innovations and improvements to our product range to reflect the diverse needs of our clients, and theirs.
“Delivering first-class service and striving to find solutions will remain our firm guiding principles throughout the year ahead.”
