Skipton Intermediaries staff under review

Skipton Intermediaries is reviewing the roles of some 90 members of staff with a view to making at least 25 employees redundant.

The news comes as part of a decision made by the lender last week to withdraw from commercial lending.

The job losses will be spread across four divisions within Skipton Intermediaries including commercial, intermediary sales managers, word processing and head office.

The majority of redundancies will be made in the head office division.

A spokesman for Skipton Intermediaries says: “As a business we review our staff numbers and our processes annually.

“This year’s review has been conducted against flat or falling levels of business.

“It is disappointing for us that we are in this position but the number of staff affected represents a very small number of our overall staff.”
