Hampshire Trust Bank hires new sales director

Hampshire Trust Bank has appointed Alex Upton as its new sales director of specialist mortgages.

Upton will join the bank at the beginning of July and will work closely with Hampshire Trust’s new chief executive Matthew Wyles.

Upton joins the bank after a very brief stint at Masthaven, where she was appointed as sales director in the long-term lending division at the start of May.

Prior to that Upton had worked at Castle Trust, alongside Wyles. Upton had taken over his role as managing director of the lender’s mortgage division when Wyles joined Hampshire Trust Bank in April this year.

Upton had previously been head of saes for the lender.

Wyles says that specialist lending will be an important focus for Hampshire Trust Bank. Upton says she was delighted to be joining the management team at the bank.

Hampshire Trust Bank is a specialist lender focusing on small business customers.
