Gary Smith joins Equifinance as general manager

Specialist second charge mortgage lender Equifinance has appointed Gary Smith as general manager with overall control of operations for new business underwriting and servicing.

Smith has worked in the lending industry for 18 years in the areas of both first and second charge mortgages and joins Equifinance from Swift Advances.

Equifinance has also made a further appointments, with Andy Smith taking up the role of broker liaison manager allowing him to be available to spend more time in the field visiting introducer teams whilst still being a lead for any technical queries they may have with complex cases. Andy will also continue to hold an underwriting mandate and as such can approve cases on site.

Equifinance managing director Tony Marshall says: “As we grow the business it’s very exciting to be able to have such an experienced professional as Gary helping to deliver business growth while at the same time delivering a first class service to our business partners.

“I’m also delighted that Andy Smith will now be developing his role with our broker partners and spreading the word about Equifinance processes, products and solutions.”
