Shariah compliant bank Gatehouse has appointed former TSB head of property risk Paul Stockwell as chief commercial officer.
In May, Mortgage Strategy revealed that Gatehouse Bank will launch into the mainstream residential and buy-to-let mortgage market later this year.
Prior to TSB, Stockwell worked for Aldermore Bank where he was responsible for all property development, commercial and residential property lending risk and valuation.
He is the second former Aldermore employee to join Gatehouse, with the specialist lender’s former group managing director of mortgages recruited as chief executive earlier this year.
Gatehouse has also promoted Danesh Mahadeva to the role of chief financial officer, replacing Twalha Dhunnoo.
Mahadeva was previously vice president, head of finance at Gatehouse.
Haresnape says: “I am delighted that Paul is joining the bank, bringing significant experience which will help during our next phase of growth. Paul’s experience will benefit the bank in both its commercial and retail activities. The appointment of Danesh is particularly pleasing as he has progressed within the bank and therefore brings consistency to that important role.”
