The Financial Conduct Authority has issued its second warning over fraudsters cloning mortgage lead generation firm Advantage Leads.

Genuine firm Advantage Leads trades as improvementloans.co.uk, a company advertising second charge loans.

Advantage Leads also offers residential mortgage and remortgage leads, as well as other forms of secured and unsecured loan leads.

However, the regulator today says the firm has been cloned by fraudsters calling themselves Improvement Loans.

The fake company gives its address as 6 Station View, Rhino Court, Bramhall Moor Lane, SK7 5ER.

An FCA statement says: “Be aware that the scammers may give out other false details or mix these with some correct details of the registered firm.”

Previous warning

Last July the regulator also warned of a company trying to clone real company Advantage Leads.

The earlier fake company advertised itself as Homeowner Loans and Advantage Leads.
