Amicus Finance Plc enters administration

Amicus Finance Plc has entered administration, having appointed Begbies Traynor to act as agent of the company without liability.

A notice on the firm’s website states that on 20 December 2018, Mark Robert Fry, Jamie Taylor and Kirstie Jane Provan were appointed joint administrators of Amicus Finance Plc.

The news follows the announcement in mid-December from the association of short term lenders that it had suspended the membership of Amicus Property Finance, part of the Plc, following reports that the specialist lender had halted lending in the previous week.

A note from the company posted on website LinkedIn reads: “We would like to take the opportunity to thank our staff, customers and friends for their support, hard work and dedication over the past 12 months.

“In what has been a difficult last few weeks, the people of Amicus have remained professional, committed and have pulled together to support each other and look forward. They are an amazing group of people.”
