Xit2 joins CML as associate member

Xit2 has joined the Council of Mort-gage Lenders as an associate member.
The CML now has 84 associate members and, after Bank of China (UK) joined in October, 136 full members.
In December 2007, the CML had more than 100 associate mem bers. Over the last two years around 35 have left. Then last month, the CML said it expected more mem-bers to leave in 2010.
Mark Blackwell, managing direc-tor of Xit2, says: “Joining the CML shows our commitment to the industry. Those who leave lack either the financial backing or the commitment to lenders. We are demonstrating both by joining.”
