WEB OF DECEIT

Talking of spicing things up Mole was interested to read IllicitEncounters.com’s latest press release. The extra-marital dating site that Mortgage Strategy recently revealed was a favourite with bankers, has released a list of the top 10 reasons bankers choose to have extra-marital affairs.

After the credit crunch hit the site was inundated with new members from the banking sector with finance the most represented professional sector.

To discover why this was the case, the website conducted a survey of 639 bankers asking what the three main reasons they decided to cheat were.

Top of the list was to feel loved, with bankers needing extra affection after becoming the scorn of the nation.

Second was for the thrill although Mole thinks bankers should have had enough risk-taking by now. Third and fourth involved escaping the mundane or unstable life at home.

Fifth was for an ego boost while six showed bankers’ more prudent side with claims that divorce was too costly. Seventh was because they wanted someone to spoil. But why not just spoil your wife?

Eighth was because they felt entitled to it due to their tough jobs, ninth was simply because they can and 10th was peer pressure with one banker saying that “where I work, many of the top dogs are open about their affairs. Having a mistress is like having a flash car”.

Putting his marital guidance hat on for a second, Mole thinks that if they only stuck to a word that rhymes with banking, there would be far less marital discord.
