Mortgage Intelligence switches to Mortgage Brain
Mortgage Intelligence will move from TrigoldCrystal’s point-of-sale system to Mortgage Brain’s The Key in January.

As well as using Mortgage Brain’s point-of-sale system, Mortgage Intelligence and Mortgage Next appointed representatives will also use the All New Mortgage Brain as their preferred mortgage sourcing system.
Both systems will be free of charge for the network’s members.
The Key will be available from January 2011, with Mortgage Intelligence offering its ARs full back-up, training and support.
Sally Laker, managing director of Mortgage Intelligence Holdings, says: “We view The Key as the point-of-sale system for the future - it is slick, efficient and has the flexibility to meet the changing demands of the market.
“We have listened to what our members want from a point-of-sale system and feel that we now have the solution to make it easier for them to write business.
“I believe The Key is the best and most comprehensive product on the market and I am delighted to provide this industry-leading solution to our members.”
Mark Lofthouse, chief executive officer of Mortgage Brain, says: “Mortgage Intelligence Holdings is one of the UK’s leading intermediary networks and we are delighted that it has chosen Mortgage Brain as its preferred mortgage technology solutions provider.
“We are pleased to be working with Mortgage Intelligence Holdings to implement the Key and All New Mortgage Brain to enhance all business management, point-of-sale, sourcing and compliance processes.”

I'm sure not all Appointed Representatives will welcome an enforced change to their practices.
An involuntary change from one sourcing system to another can be a challenge for many, but a change of back office system will, without any question, be an absolute nightmare for some brokers.
An example of how being an AR of a Network can sometimes be restrictive.
