London & Country launches mortgage app for iPhone

London & Country has launched a mortgage application for the iPhone, which has so far received 4,000 downloads.
The app includes best-buy mortgage rates and offers a suite of mortgage calculators to help borrowers with the monthly cost of their mortgage, to the impact of rate changes and the effect of overpaying.
It also incorporates the L&C 1 minute Mortgage Check which provides a quick diagnosis of whether borrowers could save money on their mortgage.
Users can save details of their existing mortgage deal, putting a check of their mortgage against the current market.
They can also keep up to date through the L&C Blog feature.
The app is available free from the App Store and L&C says it is already rising up the Top Free Finance App Charts with more than 4,000 downloads.
David Hollingworth of London & Country, says: “This application provides a wealth of information and easy to use mortgage tools, putting it all at our customers’ fingertips.”

L&C are a "broker" who seem to think they are better than the rest of us, this is just a pointless gimmic in an age where everyone "must have an app'".
a real broker gives face 2 face advice and personal service...I don't think there'll ever be an "app'" for that.
