Mole was horrified to see things get a bit biblical with the latest gross lending figures from the building societies sector.
The year of the beast in 1666 was dreaded by those living through the 17th century, and considering that was the year the Great Fire of London struck probably with good reason.
So, hopefully a similar calamity will not befall the mutual sector after it saw the monthly gross lending figure of the beast of £1.666bn. Repent!
