Sales reshuffle heralds service blitz for Abbey

Jeremy Duncombe, former director of sales at Advantage, has joined Abbey for Intermediaries as head of sales.

Sue Carvell has been made head of sales responsible for telephone sales in Glasgow and Manchester.

Duncombe has worked as head of sales at Platform and most recently as sales manager at St James’s Place Wealth Management. He will take up his role at Abbey on August 2.

Ricky Okey left his position as managing director of Abbey in March this year.

Alan Mathewson, managing director of intermediary distribution and Santander Private Banking UK, says: “Our top priority is to improve our service levels.

“Duncombe’s knowledge of the intermediary market in both mortgages and wealth management, combined with the change of focus in Carvell’s role towards service, will strengthen our ability to deliver the improvements we have identified.”

  • Jeremy - will you guarantee that any introduced business to Abbey will not result in dual pricing when a client's deal subsequently ends?
