FSA appoints senior home insurance adviser

The Financial Services Authority has appointed a new life insurance senior adviser.

Tom Boardman previously worked as financial director of retirement strategy and innovation at Prudential in a 35 year career in financial services.

Hector Sants, the FSA’s chief executive officer, said: “I am delighted to announce Tom’s appointment today as a senior adviser to the FSA.  He has considerable experience to bring to bear on the regulatory changes and issues that we face in the insurance sector.”

Senior advisers are a core part of the FSA’s supervision with experience on regulatory, market and consumer matters.

  • Lets spend some more money. You would expect somebody Mr Sants on a salary in excess of £500000 to be experts in all parts of their business. Maybe in the goverment review your own job will come under review. Does your new guy have a target for fines and if hit will receive 50% of it in bonuses. I fully back the industry being run well, at what cost though??
