RBS IP changes fixed rate deals

Royal Bank of Scotland Intermediary Partners has made changes to its fixed rate deals as its parent company takes up a government cash injection of £20bn.

The lender is offering an online only two-year fixed rate remortgage deal at an initial rate of 6.29%. The rate is available on a max 75% LTV and carries a £999 arrangement fee.

Its five-year fixed rate has jumped from 5.94% to 6.89% with a £699 arrangement fee.

For purchases the two-year fixed rate is available up to 75% LTV at an initial rate of 6.29%, with five-year fixes to 90% LTV going from 6.29% to 6.89%. Both rates carry an arrangement fee of £999.

RBS subsidiary NatWest has also made changes to its buy-to-let products. Its two-year fixed rate deal has been cut from 6.89% to 6.79% with a £1,499 arrangement fee, while its two-year remortgage product has been increased from 6.49% to 6.89%.

Buy-to-let remortgages are charged a £1,999 arrangement fee with both buy-to-let products available up to 75% LTV.
