Peter Heigho's sourcing system signs Durell as first distributor
Client Data Systems Group, the sourcing system provider headed by Trigold founder Peter Heigho, has signed its first distributor and is ready to go head to head with rivals.
Durell Software is to become the first distributor to integrate its customer relationship management and content management software with CDS’ sourcing system, The Core.
Durell is an adviser technology platform and provides back-office administration software to more than 1,000 financial, mortgage and insurance advisers.
Ian Merriman, sales director at CDS, says the firm has been developing its systems for more than a year and was awaiting the outcome of the Office of Fair Trading’s decision on the Mortgage Brain and TrigoldCrystal merger.
The OFT revealed in March that it was referring the proposed acquisition by Mortgage Brain to the Competition Commission.
It ruled that the merger would create a lack of competition in the sector and in its report, cited CDS as the only new entrant in the market that could compete but said it did not have enough clients.
Merriman says CDS was surprised at the OFT’s ruling but it has not held the company back.
He says: “We have a few exciting developments we will be announcing over the next few months and believe what we are working on will benefit the market and lenders.”
Robert White, managing director of Durell, says the integration will take place at the earliest available opportunity.
He says: “The CDS software allows pre-population from the existing Durell platform and brokers can choose to offer a directto-consumer version on their own website.”
Heigho launched CDS in March last year with Gordon Steyn, who designed Edge V2 for Enterprise Broker Services and was formerly mortgage propositions manager at IntelliFlo.
