Overflow deal does not affect leads via our site

I would like to apologise that the press release we sent out last week announcing the new arrangement between Moneysupermarket.com and London & Country was not explicit enough in explaining the relationship between the two firms.

I can reassure brokers that this deal does not affect Moneysupermarket.com leads in any way. In fact, we have been trialling an arrangement for a few months whereby London & Country takes our overflow calls, but have now turned this into a formal relationship.

Our internal team of brokers fell to six people at the beginning of 2009. They handle direct enquiries from the website. Moneysupermarket.com
attracts more than eight million visitors to the mortgage channel alone, showing the need for us to team up with a larger company to help handle the volume of calls and direct product enquiries with which it may be able to help.

Given our small internal team of brokers we needed to team up with a larger company to help us handle the increasing volume of direct product enquiries we are getting

We generate thousands of advice enquiries every day and our small team does not have the capacity to handle the leads we generate. And enquiries that come through on the telephone advice line are separate to the online advice queries that are passed to Paaleads.com.

I hope that, given the enhancements we made to the customer experience in 2009, we have also enhanced the quality of our leads. And we look forward to delivering a number of improvements this year too.

We are a growing business and this is a fundamental part of Moneysupermarket.com’s plans as it strives to offer consumers a choice in how they transact their financial business.
