Nationwide restructures mortgage division
Martyn Dyson, head of mortgages at Nationwide, has been appointed head of general insurance at the society as part of a restructure of its mortgage division.

Dyson will, however, still have responsibility for mortgage policy and regulation.
Meanwhile, Tracie Pearce has taken on the role of head of group mortgages, products and pricing, and will have responsibility for The Mortgage Works and Nationwide, opposed to just TMW, which she currently has responsibility for.
Both Dyson and Pearce will continue to report to Richard Napier, divisional director of mortgages and general insurance at Nationwide.
Napier says: “The society has decided to join up its approach to residential and buy-to-let lending by bringing the product development and pricing for all mortgage brands under Pearce.
“Dyson will now head Nationwide’s general insurance division, but will maintain responsibility for mortgage policy and regulation.”

Never ceases to amaze me the amount of internal energy that organisations waste on restructuring.
