MPC voted unanimously for hold on interest rates and QE

The latest minutes for this month’s Monetary Policy Committee meeting shows that its nine members all voted for a hold on the interest rate and quantitative easing.

But all members agreed that the monetary stance should be left unchanged at the meeting to assess the effects of the cumulative loosening of monetary policy since September 2008, alongside emerging evidence on the upside and downside risks to inflation.
