Long run

Congratulations to Nigel Stockton, mortgage sales director at Lloyds Banking Group, who has raised over £12,000 this year for housing charity Shelter by running marathons.

Stockton raised this massive amount by completing the Tokyo marathon in March and pledging to run the ING Miami marathon next January. He is a staunch supporter of the charity and has travelled the world running marathons to raise money for it.

The mortgage star has been involved with Shelter since 2005 when subsidiary Birmingham Midshires began making donations to it for each mortgage sold. The £12,000 Stockton has raised this year takes his total fund-raising to date to more than £34,000.

“I am committed to supporting the tremendous work that Shelter does every day,” Stockton told Mole. “It’s great that our efforts can help people in difficulty.”

Mr Stockton, Mole salutes you.
