Steve Carruthers joins Ulster Bank as head of intermediary mortgages
Steve Carruthers has joined Ulster Bank as head of intermediary mortgages for Ulster Bank in Northern Ireland.
He will be responsible for developing and growing Ulster Bank’s share of the intermediary mortgage market in Northern Ireland supported by the mortgage intermediary unit in Belfast.
In March 2000, NatWest Group was the subject of a take-over bid by The Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank Group is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the enlarged RBS group.
Carruthers recently held the role of head of national accounts team at NatWest Intermediary Solutions.
Paul Thompson, head of regional personal banking at Ulster Bank, says: “I’m delighted to welcome someone of Steve’s calibre and experience to Ulster Bank. His knowledge of the intermediary market will be invaluable in building our business.
“In March we launched a £500m fund for mortgage lending and we are determined to play our part in helping people in Northern Ireland get a mortgage that is right for them.“
