Dunfermline launches IFA service

Dunfermline Building Society, the mutual rescued by Nationwide in March last year, has launched a service promising whole-of-market advice across its 34 branches in Scotland.

The service will be branded as Nationwide Independent Financial Services and will be available in branches and on the telephone via Dunfermlime’s contact centre Dunfermline Direct.

Advice will be given by 12 new IFAs that Dunfermline say will have access to products from the whole of the financial services market.

Martin Leong, distribution director of regional brands at Nationwide, says: “We are pleased to confirm that Dunfermline customers are now able to benefit from independent financial advice.

“The service better meets the needs of the Dunfermline’s customer base and will allow our customers the option of receiving a full financial review service.”
