The building society says the move is driven by similar changes made by other high street lenders in recent weeks.

New rates include its five-year fix at 70% LTV, which now has a rate of 3.89%, and a £900 product fee and £99 booking fee.

Meanwhile its two-year fix at 90% LTV with a £900 product fee and £99 booking fee now has a rate of 5.49%.

Nationwide says the rates on its 95% LTV range remain unchanged.
