Trigold founder to take on rival sourcing firms
Peter Heigho, founder of Trigold, will go head to head with Mortgage Brain and TrigoldCrystal when he launches a sourcing system this Wednesday.
The system will offer a business-to-consumer sourcing engine as well as a business-to-business facility.
Heigho is launching The Core system under the branding of Client Data Systems.
He sold Trigold in early 2000 but remained with it until late 2002. In 2003 he set up The Key, the old trading name of Client Data Systems. The assets of Client Data Systems were sold to Mortgage Brain in 2006, but the shell company was not.
Heigho says: “I was frustrated by the lack of support given to brokers by other software systems that seem to be driven mainly by profit.”
Heigho says discussions have taken place with both Mortgage Brain and TrigoldCrystal about a possible integration with parts of their systems.
Mark Lofthouse, chief executive office of Mortgage Brain, says: “Nobody has seen this system so it’s difficult to assess it. In the end it will be brokers who decide.”
He adds that he would consider an integration with the system.
Gordon Steyn, who designed Edge V2 for Enterprise Broker Services and until recently was mortgage propositions manager at Intelliflo, has joined Client Data Systems, as has Ian Merriman, former head of mortgage sales at Intelliflo, who has joined as sales director.
Sophie Hall, former director of network operations at Home of Choice, is now director of distribution at Intelliflo.
