Site offers brokers fees for referring commercial cases

Michael Clapper, founder and former chief executive of Enterprise Group, has launched an intermediary proposition called Sellmycommercialproperty.co.uk.

The business, which Clapper says has access to substantial private funding lines, has been created with a view to purchasing all types of commercial property including shops, offices and industrial units in any location.

When brokers introduce property owners who are looking to sell they will receive fees of up to 1% of the sale price, payable on completion.

Clapper, chairman of Sellmycommercialproperty.co.uk, says that because of a lack of business in the past few years brokers have been forced to diversify to survive.

He says: “I’m a firm believer in the resilience of brokers so our proposition incorporates the opportunity for them to significantly boost their income while helping clients.”

Clapper believes brokers are likely to be the first people to hear about clients selling commercial property because they will already be speaking to them about a residential mortgage or related product.
