Platform relocates two mortgage service divisions
Platform Home Loans is relocating some of its mortgage services from London, resulting in 80 staff being given the option of relocating or being made redundant.
Its pre-completion service will be moved to parent group Co-operative Financial Services’ mortgage processing centre in Leek, Stafford-shire and its customer care service will be relocated to CFS’ service centre in Stockport.
The firm says that by doing this it will have access to additional people with skills and experience in mortgage processing and customer service so that it can continue to grow its broker mortgage business and deliver consistent service.
The rest of Platform’s operations will continue to be based in its Canary Wharf headquarters in London.
A spokesman for Platform says: “We will maintain core teams at these new locations that just focus on intermediary business.
The changes will be phased to protect service levels and we’ll be putting a lot of emphasis on training to ensure these teams are equipped to deal with broker business.
“Our systems, including Click, and our service standards will remain unchanged.”
He adds: “The dates of these changes are still to be confirmed but we will keep customers informed as our plans develop.”
