Outgoing FSA chairman Turner joins US think-tank
Outgoing FSA chairman Lord Adair Turner is to take up a role with a US think-tank run by George Soros after being appointed as senior fellow.
The Sunday Times reports Turner will take up the unpaid role, based at the organisation’s London offices, immediately.
The paper adds Turner will be tasked with “thinking big thoughts” on how to overhaul the financial system that resulted in the 2008 banking crisis.
The FSA officially disbanded to form the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority yesterday.
