Nationwide's system to offer 24/7 case tracking

IAN ANDREW SYSTEM WILL BE SLICKER
Nationwide for Intermediaries has launched an online mortgage application system called NFI Online.
It marks the end of a two-year project to ramp up its online system, with the aim to provide a faster and slicker process for intermediaries.
Ian Andrew, head of intermediary sales at Nationwide for Intermediaries and The Mortgage Works, says broker feedback showed that many wanted regular updates about how their applications were progressing. NFI Online offers this with real-time case tracking.
He says: “Brokers can log in any time day or night and it will tell them what’s gone on with their cases.”
The system also comes with a scan and attach facility to cut down paperwork and offers instant decisions in principle.
This means brokers can shop around for suitable products for clients without leaving a footprint and impacting negatively on their credit record.
David Hollingworth, head of communication at London & Country, says Nationwide’s new system is along the lines of what Halifax has done with its system and is more intuitive, interactive and flexible.
He says: “At the back end there is a lot more information now being relayed, so for things like valuations it doesn’t just tell you that it is being instructed, you are also given the date and time it will take place.”
